| The Recycle Program
|
 |
 |
The Ink and Toner Source is a company with a mission.
That mission is to help our customers do their part in protecting the environment
and to conserve natural resources in the process. Reducing our country's reliance
on foreign oil, alternate fuel sources, mileage standards, clean air and water are
all major concerns.
The Ink and Toner Source program
focuses on the collection and recycling of the popular inkjet cartridges and their big
cousin the laser cartridge. All of these recyclable products are more of an environmental
problem than most people realize.
An Inkjet printer can be found in almost
every home in America that has a computer and that number is growing daily. The average
consumer will use over 5 cartridges per year and over 80% of these people will throw them
in the trash. Think about 500,000 $1 bills being incinerated daily. Not only are inkjet
printers reaching the home market in record numbers the use of industrial inkjet printers
is also growing rapidly. Over 400 inkjet cartridges are consumed yearly in an industrial
application.
A new laser cartridge uses an average 3
quarts of oil to produce and adds 2.5 pounds of industrial grade plastic to the waste stream.
As trash, inkjet and laser cartridges will be around for at least ten centuries. One thousand
years is a long time. Less than 50% of the millions of laser cartridges produced are recycled.
We all need to do our part to conserve natural resources and protect our air and water from
harmful pollutants. The Ink and Toner Source recycling program does that.
What does this mean to you? It means that The Ink and Toner Source program is a great way to
raise funds. Never worry about inventory or collecting money and this program runs itself.
With the wide variety of postage paid, take home, collection options available, your organization
never has to see or handle the cartridges and our is just as easy. The cartridges are out
there and the chance that your organization members, friends, family and neighbors have them
is very high. And don't forget those business sponsors who would love to support your organization
while finding a useful place for what is otherwise considered trash.
The Ink and Toner Source program is also great educational tool for kids of all ages. Today's children
are computer and technologically literate from kindergarten on. These are programs that they can
relate to and the lessons they learn will stay with them for a very long time.

organization, marching band, scout troop or a business looking for a way to serve the community,
